MACON, Ga. — Clear blue skies and on average temperatures are looking to set up a gorgeous weekend across central Georgia. Compared to last weekend's dreary skies and rain, this will be a great weekend for outdoor plans. Skies will stay clear throughout the duration of the weekend with some dry fall air, and high temperatures will stay in the upper 60s to lower 70s across the area. The mornings and evenings will continue to be cool, maybe creating the perfect excuse for a firepit and some college football this evening!
Our pattern of dry weather and high temperatures in the 70s continues into the early work week, and until the midweek there is little change to the forecast. A cold front will push through Georgia on Tuesday that long-range models are beginning to agree will bring some rain to the area on Tuesday and lingering into Wednesday morning. However, after the front moves through it leaves behind another push of dry fall air as well as some cooler temperatures. Longer-range models have lows possibly dipping into the upper 30s and highs nestled in the 50s. If this holds true, by the end of next week we could be seeing our coolest temperatures of the year so far.
