COCHRAN, Ga. — The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-0 Tornado touched down on Thursday, April 13 around 4:20 PM in northeast Cochran.
According to the report, this weak tornado took the roof of a peanut stand near Dykes St and GA 126.
The tornado was just northeast of Bleckley County High School removing parts of the siding from the gym as the tornado started to lift.
A few trees were also downed.
Maximum sustained winds with this tornado was around 85 mph and tracked just less than a mile.

The National Weather Service has also confirmed an EF-1 Tornado touched down around 2:30 p.m. east of Cordele.
According to the report, this weak tornado touched down near GA 300 AND GA 90 downing many trees. At Old Penia Road and Penia Road, many trees were downed. The tornado snapped wooden power poles and trees on Cemetery Road before lifting.
