MACON, Ga. — Georgia State Patrol is investigating after a teenager died Wednesday following a single-car accident.
According to GSP’s Public Information Office, troopers from GSP Post 44 in Forsyth were sent to an accident with injuries on Hartley Bridge Road around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Their investigation shows a 2007 White Toyota Camry left the road in a curve and hit a tree.
Both people inside the car were taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health.
On Wednesday morning, the trooper was told that the passenger, identified as 17-year-old Dawson Swain, died from his injuries.
The name of the driver was not available from Georgia State Patrol. The crash is still under investigation.
