ATLANTA — It's been a year since a massive fire burned under the Interstate-85 bridge, causing it to collapse and cripple Atlanta.
The construction dust has long since settled, and drivers back to their regular commutes, but what's the latest with the man who was charged with starting that fire?

11Alive's Vinnie Politan sat down with Basil Eleby and one of his attorneys, Mawuli Davis, who told 11Alive he is in a much better place than one year ago when the I-85 bridge collapsed.
"Could this be the most ironic of all situations, that you're actually better off because of that fire," Politan asked.
"I can't believe it, but it's true," Eleby responded. "It took that for me to turn my life around to get what I always wanted – what I always asked God for, and that's my sobriety."
