DUBLIN, Ga. — Two rest stops in Dublin will be closed for an undetermined amount of time starting Thursday morning.
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, those are rest areas #87 and #88 – at mile markers 44 and 46 -- and the closures are due to a major water main supply line break.
The entrance ramps to both rest stops will be barricaded until further notice.

GDOT says the city’s water department found the problem with the water main that supplies both stops, which explains the history of low water pressure at them.
GDOT apologized for the inconvenience and said they would reopen them when it’s safe. They did not specify a timeline for reopening.
