DOOLY COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE, 2:25 p.m.
Georgia State Patrol identified the baby as being from Warner Robins. Dooly County Coroner James Hudson says the baby was around 1-year-old, but GSP says the baby was around six-months-old.
GSP says the driver of the vehicle was traveling northbound on I-75 when they failed to maintain their lane. The car then began to overturn, finally coming to rest in the parking lot of the northbound rest area near mile marker 108.
At least five others in the car were injured in the wreck and alcohol and/or drugs were involved, according to GSP. There are charges pending for the driver.

A child died after an accident at a rest stop in Dooly County.
Coroner James Hudson confirmed the child was approximately 1-year-old and was pronounced dead on scene.
According to Dooly County Sheriff Craig Peavy, it happened around 3:30 a.m. at a northbound rest area on I-75 near mile marker 108, just before the Vienna exit.
Only one vehicle was involved in the accident.
Sheriff Peavy said the Georgia State Patrol reconstruction team is handling the investigation.
