BSO: All lanes closed for non-hazardous spill on I-16 West near Sgoda Road

They do not expect it to be cleared until 11:45 p.m.

MACON, Ga. — UPDATE: The latest estimate for when the crash and spill will be cleaned up is now 11:45 p.m.

UPDATE: The latest estimate for when the crash and spill will be cleared is now 4 p.m. according to Georgia 511.

All lanes of I-16 West just past Sgoda Road are closed after a crash with cargo spilled across the highway, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

They said the substance spilled is non-hazardous and is being removed from the roadway. According to Georgia 511,  the spill and crash are not expected to be cleared until 2:45 p.m.

The sheriff’s office said no one was injured in the crash and deputies are on the scene investigating.
