Fans are ready to see this year's Dawgs take the field for the final time in a bowl face-off against No. 15 Texas Longhorns on New Year's Day.
But for now, it's New Year's Eve in the Big Easy, and folks are celebrating the end of 2018 with the Sugar Bowl Parade.
Plenty of football fans lined the streets of downtown New Orleans for a chance to catch some beads and relive old memories, like the mother of Senior Bulldog J.R. Reed.
"I'm a Louisiana girl, and to see my son come and play in the super dome, I can't even tell you the feeling I have. I'm just blessed," said Vinita Reed. "This is really a homecoming for me. I grew up in Louisiana. New Orleans Saints fan, used to be LSU, but not anymore. It's all about those Dawgs. Go Dawgs!
A little closer to Central Georgia, Ronnie Hinson from Gray was also part of the crowd, cheering on the red and black with his family.
"I am super excited to be here in New Orleans for this game," said Hinson. "It's myself and my wife and my grand kids are here, and we know we're going to get a victory. V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!"
Throughout the afternoon and the night, the bands would play on.
The Sugar Bowl will kick off at 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
