UGA continues practicing for the Sugar Bowl

The game will be on ESPN at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday

The #5 Georgia Bulldogs continued their preparation for the 2019 Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.

The Bulldogs will battle it out on the gridiron against #15 Texas on New Year's Day.

Saturday was only one of two days of player availability to the media.

13WMAZ's Marvin James was able to catch up with Georgia as they took to the Mercedes Benz Superdome for an afternoon practice.

Kirby Smart was busy working with the defensive backs since Mel Tucker is no longer the defensive coordinator after he took the Colorado head coaching job. Dan Lanning is filling in with those duties at the Sugar Bowl.

Houston County native and true freshman Trey Hill is expected to contribute heavily on Tuesday night's contest.

QBs Jake Fromm and Justin Fields were in rhythm during individual drills.

Fields has been making headlines after entering the portal considering his transfer options after the season which ends on Tuesday.
