ATLANTA — Delta Air Lines has unveiled the Team USA aircraft as the countdown to Paris 2024 continues.
The airline showcased the custom Airbus A350 on Thursday in Toulouse, France. The plane landed in Atlanta on Friday.
“Unveiling the Team USA aircraft for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 marks a major milestone for Delta’s support of Team USA as we look toward the start of competition in just a few months,” Chief Marketing Officer Alicia Tillman said in a news release.
Tillman said the plane was designed by its in-house creative team. The airline held a celebration with Delta's Chairman's Club in Toulouse, where the plane was built and painted this year.
The Chairman's Club is a honoree group of the airlines top 100 employees. The plane boasts red, white and blue colors with "Team USA" written across the side.
“As this plane flies around the world in the coming months and years, we hope it is seen as a symbol of hard work, dedication and the upward momentum to being the best that Team USA and Delta innately share," Tilman added.
Delta has an eight-year partnership with the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee that runs through the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
