UGA pitcher and Houston County alumnus Tony Locey was drafted in the 3rd round with the 96th pick by the St. Louis Cardinals Tuesday afternoon.
Locey was a member of the 2016 Houston County State Championship team.
Then in the 7th round, Texas Tech's Gabe Holt, who played at Veterans High School heard his name called by Milwaukee Brewers with the 223rd overall pick. Holt made the All Big12 First Team honors this year, and was named the conference Freshman of the Year last year.
