MACON, Ga. — The third week of Football Friday Night is here with a slate of Central Georgia teams going head-to-head. Here are the games we’re keeping an eye on in Week 3:

Northside vs Warner Robins (TAILGATE 13)

The first matchup is a Houston County showdown at McConnell-Talbert Stadium.

Northside and Warner Robins have met every year dating back to the 1964 season, and the longest streak in Georgia high school football history won’t snap just yet.

The Demons have dominated the series recently, and have won seven-straight matchups against Northside, including a 4-point victory last year.

Northside has momentum on their side, though. The undefeated Eagles are entering Friday’s game after a pair of victories against Eagle’s Landing and Baldwin.

On the other side, Warner Robins dropped its first game against Lee County, but responded with a 42-7 blowout win over Fayette County.

Perry vs Houston County

Coming in at game No. 2 are a pair of high-powered offenses who like to score early and often.

Perry and Houston County are both entering Friday’s game with 2-0 records. The Panthers have scored 86 points in wins over Baldwin and Peach County, while the Bears have dropped 101 points in their games against Alpharetta and Effingham County.

Something’s got to give. Perry’s got home field advantage — the game is happening at Herb St. John Stadium — but that hasn’t mattered much recently. The past two meetings have come down to the wire in nerve-wracking fourth quarter finishes.

Dublin vs Southwest

Speaking of high-powered offenses, the Fighting Irish have started out the season on fire. Dublin put 107 points on the board over two games, taking down Swainsboro and East Laurens.

Roger Holmes’ team will now have the task of beating the Southwest Patriots, who are looking for their first win of the season on Friday.

Southwest hasn’t scored 20 points in a game yet this year. If they can find a way to get their offense in rhythm — and find a way to get Dublin’s offense out of rhythm — they could win their first game of the season on Friday.
