MACON, Ga. — Many fall sports in Central Georgia are in the heat of the postseason, which means Central Georgia teams are in the biggest stretch of their seasons yet. 

Both the flag football and the softball seasons are nearing their end, and many Central Georgia schools are hitting their playoff stride. Here's some highlights from this week's action.

Softball

Haralson County 8 - ACE 4

  • ACE has been eliminated from the playoffs

Georgia Military College 8 - Metter 3

  • GMC will next face Schley County on Friday at 11 a.m.

Social Circle 4 - East Laurens 2

  • East Laurens has been eliminated from the playoffs

Seckinger 5 - Houston County 3

  • Houston County has been eliminated from the playoffs

Heritage, Catoosa 5 - West Laurens 1

  • West Laurens will next face Pickens in the tournament's consolation bracket.

Jones County 3 - Eastside 0

  • Jones County will face Eastside in game 3 of the series on Friday at 6 p.m.

Flag football

Pike County 12 - Northeast 0

Westside 12 - Veterans 6

Mary Persons 13 - Southwest 0
