AUGUSTA, Ga. — Masters week is officially upon us, as the 89-golfer field is officially set at Augusta National Golf Club.
It's the first golf week of the year in which stars of both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf emerge in one place on the most hallowed grounds in golf.
Among the field, there are five players representing the state of Georgia -- five UGA graduates and one amateur currently a student at Georgia Tech. Brian Harman, Russell Henley, Chris Kirk, Sepp Straka and Bubba Watson will be representing UGA, while first-timer South African Christo Lamprecht represents Georgia Tech.
Tiger Woods returns to the Masters this week in his first tournament since withdrawing early at The Genesis Invitational in mid-February. Defending champion Jon Rahm will return to the field with his former PGA Tour friends for the first time since joining LIV Golf back in December.
