Social media erupts after Georgia Tech beats Florida State

DUBLIN, Ireland — College football is back. Upsets are happening. Social media is in a complete frenzy.

The third part of that sentence is especially true because it was Florida State that was on the losing to end to Georgia Tech in college football's season opener in Dublin, Ireland.

If memory recalls for those of you who think back to college football's bowl season back in December of last year, Georgia trounced FSU 63-3 in the Orange Bowl after the Seminoles made headlines for complaining about not being the fourth team selected to the College Football Playoff, despite being undefeated following a narrow win over Louisville in the ACC Championship.

That decision was made largely because they lost quarterback Jordan Travis to injury and the Seminoles, quite frankly, just did not look like the same team after that.
