The University of Georgia's iconic mascot, Que, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy that spans decades of Bulldogs football history. Following his passing, many wondered how many Uga's there have been in the university's history.
This is what we found. According to the university's website, including the newest Uga XI "Boom," there have been 11 dogs that represent the school bearing the name.

- Uga III, "Seiler's Uga Three"
- Uga IV, "Seiler's Uga Four"
- Uga V, "UGA IV's Magillicuddy II"
- Uga VI, "Uga V's Whatchagot Loran"
- Uga VII, "Loran's Best"
- Uga VIII, "Big Bad Bruce"
- Uga IX, "Russ"
- Uga X, "Que"
- Uga XI, "Boom"
The line of pure white English bulldogs, known as the Uga line, has been a fixture since Uga I first graced the campus in 1956. Owned by the Frank W. "Sonny" Seiler family of Savannah, Ga., each Uga mascot is awarded a varsity letter in the form of a plaque, mirroring the recognition given to Bulldog athletes.
Georgia's commitment to its mascots goes beyond recognition by burying them within the confines of the stadium. Ugas I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, and VIII rest in marble vaults near the main gate, with epitaphs inscribed in bronze. Flowers adorn their graves before each home game.
The passing of Que marks the end of an era. Still, it also signifies the continuation of a tradition that has defined the spirit of the Georgia Bulldogs for over six decades. As the university mourns the loss of a beloved mascot, the legacy of Que and his predecessors will forever be etched in the hearts of Bulldogs fans.
