Injury update after Brock Bowers leaves game against Vanderbilt

He went out in the second quarter with that ankle injury when he was tackled awkwardly out of bounds.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — UGA fans watched in worry after superstar tight end Brock Bowers left Saturday's game against Vanderbilt with an injury.

After the game, head coach Kirby Smart said Bowers suffered an ankle sprain and X-Rays were negative. He will, however, receive an MRI on Sunday.

Bowers finished the game with four receptions for 22 yards. He went out in the second quarter with that ankle injury when he was tackled awkwardly out of bounds by a Vandy defensive back.

Bowers is leading all UGA pass catchers and tight ends in the nation with 37 catches for 575 yards. He also leads the team with four receiving touchdowns.
