ATHENS, Ga. — Despite UGA playing an SEC game between the hedges against Mississippi State on Saturday, perhaps the biggest star came out to the field at halftime.
Actor Glen Powell ran out onto the field at Sanford Stadium -- much to the surprise of fans -- to film a scene of his upcoming series "Chad Powers" on Hulu.
The show is about a disgraced college football quarterback who disguises himself as Chad Powers, a character based on the ESPN docuseries played by Eli Manning, a once promising quarterback whose bad behavior derails his college career.
Powell was seen in full football pads and running out onto the field at Sanford Stadium, where he was featured on the big screen at halftime.
