MACON, Ga. — Two Macon men are currently being held in jail without bond after a traffic stop last Friday.
According to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release, a deputy saw a gray Mercury Grand Marquis with an inaccurate Test Drive tag on Friday, May 31.
The deputy stopped the car, when the passenger got out and ran away. He was identified as Kraig A. Hall and he was caught nearby.
The driver, identified as Michael D. Hughes Jr., told officers he had a pistol on him. They checked the Taurus 9mm was checked and found it was reported stolen in Atlanta.
Deputies also found two bags of marijuana and ecstasy pills, along with bottles of THC oil.
Hughes was taken to the Bibb County Jail and was charged with Trafficking of Illegal Drugs, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Altered or Concealed Vehicle Identity, Driving Vehicle with Altered of Concealed Identity and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony.
Hall was taken to Bibb County Jail and charged with Trafficking of Illegal Drugs, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon and Willful Obstruction of Peace Officer. Hall previously had a Violation of Probation warrant in an unrelated case.
Both are being held without bond at this time.
