ATHENS, Ga. – An Athens man was arrested after an argument with his wife over how many slices of cheese to use on a grilled cheese sandwich.
According to the police report, James DePaola became upset after his wife used three pieces of cheese in a grilled cheese sandwich.
Police said James DePaola began shouting and his wife tried to call 911. He is accused of pulling the phone from the wall.
The couple's daughter then used a cell phone to get ahold of police.
Depaola was then arrested for damaged property and obstructing a 911 call.
