Eighteen north Bibb County residents are asking a superior court judge to halt a 25-acre lofts-and-retail project.
The group has filed a petition asking Bibb County Superior 'Court to review last month's vote by the Macon-BIbb planning and zoning commission to allow Sierra Development' Group's project.
In a court petition, the residents argue that the project would bring noise, odors, exhaust, light pollution, traffic, congestion, lower property values and more.
And they argue that the commission made several errors and used flawed information leading up to their Dec. 14 vote to rezone the site.
Samuel Alderman, lawyer for the opponents, says the petition was filed Jan.23, and no hearing date has been set.
