MACON, Ga. — Next Tuesday Georgia voters will head to the polls to cast their votes in the presidential primary election.
Former President Donald Trump enters Super Tuesday with 276 delegates so far on the Republican side. Nikki Haley has the second-highest total with 43 delegates.
President Joe Biden has racked up 206 delegates with two delegates identified as uncommitted at this time.
But when you step in to cast your ballot, those three names won’t be the only ones you see.
Instead, you will see more than 10 names on the Republican ballot and three names on the Democrat ballot.
Some have asked why will the names of those who have suspended their campaigns still be on the ballot.
The answer is that ballot building began in late 2023 with submissions being sent to the state party back in November 2023.
So yes, you can vote for someone who has suspended their campaign or dropped out. In the end, it's up to the party leaders to nominate a new candidate to represent the party in November's general election.
Here is a look at the names that will be on each of the ballots come Tuesday, March 12.
