Trump making stop in metro Atlanta days before election | What to expect

Before his rally, Trump will be in Pike County for a town hall with Georgia Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones and Macon native Jason Aldean.

ATLANTA — Georgia is back in the political spotlight on Wednesday as the push to gain votes in the Peach State prompts another visit from one of the candidates.

Republican candidate Donald Trump will be holding a rally at Duluth's Gas South Arena in Gwinnett County. Trump is set to be joined by other big names, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and country singer Jason Aldean.

U.S. Congressmembers Mike Collins and Marjorie Taylor Green are also among the speakers scheduled to attend the rally.

The former president's return to Georgia comes as early voting continues in the state.

Just last night, Trump held yet another rally in North Carolina, a possible preview of what people could hear from him tonight.

During his remarks, he touted his plans for the presidency, if elected, and went after Kamala Harris, along with other top Democrats, including Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi.

Before his rally, Trump was in Pike County for a town hall with Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones. As a result, Pike County Schools were closed on Wednesday due to the high volume of people and traffic in the area.

The event was held at a church. Several hundred people were gathered for what was being billed as a “Believers and Ballots Faith Town Hall.”

Trump isn't well known for his religious faith. The former president was asked what he would say to Christian voters to encourage them to turnout in November.

"I think we've really energized a lot of people this time because we've seen how bad it is," he answered. "These last four years have been, it's been a horror show, an absolute horror show. And I think we're going to see those numbers go way up."

His answer also segued into another answer about the availability of guns and how some people of faith want to protect their Second Amendment rights.
