JEFFERSONVILLE, Ga. — Senator Jon Ossoff plans to meet with Jeffersonville leaders about resources that he has in place to expand high-speed internet across Georgia.
The expansion will provide high-speed internet for tens of thousands of families and businesses in the state.
Sen. Ossoff obtained $250 million through the American Rescue Plan to bring high-quality internet access to small businesses, schools, farms, and families.
The American Rescue Plan helps provide emergency grants and funding to help hard-hit businesses and their workers, according to the White House.
Broadband providers in Twiggs County are eligible to apply for the new grant program.
The meeting and press conference starts Friday at 3:45 p.m. at the Twiggs County Public Schools Board of Education located on 952 Main Street.
Ossoff will speak with Twiggs County leaders and elected officials during the meeting.
