Former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris headline the ballot, but several key representatives, sheriffs, and even more races are on the ballot
across Central Georgia.
While Georgia does not have a key senate race this election cycle, a key sheriff's race is going on in Houston County to replace the former longest-tenured sheriff in America, Cullen Talton, who died in October.
A homestead exemption is on the ballot, which, if voters approve, would change how property taxes are assessed on people's main residential homes. To learn more, check out a full breakdown of the exemption here.
Several other sheriff seats are up for grabs, including in Macon County, Crawford County, Laurens County and Peach County. House Districts 142, 149, 147 and 143 are also up for election.
