Nu-Way chili dog among Ga. Tourism's Top 10 "Must Try" dishes

Georgia Tourism released its 2016 Culinary Guide, "Georgia Eats," which includes dishes from many Central Georgia restaurants.

You'll soon see promotions for some of Central Georgia's best-known restaurants in state tourism advertising.

Georgia Tourism released its 2016 state culinary guide, which will be featured online and at the state's 12 visitor information centers.

Macon's Nu-Way Weiners made the top 10 "Must Try" dishes, but several other Central Georgia restaurants made the expanded list. Nu-Way was recognized for its chili dog.

Nearly 600 dishes were nominated for the honor.

In the Historic Heartland region:

  • Dickey's Peach Farm, Musella: Peach Ice Cream
  • Fincher's Bar-B-Q, Macon: Barbecue Plate
  • Ingleside Village Pizza, Macon: Sloppy Bread Sticks
  • Rookery, Macon: Walden Greenback Burger
  • The Brick, Milledgeville: Creamy Tomato Soup
  • The Perfect Pear, Perry: Pecan Pie Bread Pudding
  • Martin's BBQ, Warner Robins: Brisket

In the Magnolia Midlands region:

  • Company Supply, Dublin: Delta Chicken
  • Deano's Italian, Dublin: Stuffed Shrimp
  • Holy Smokes BBQ, Dublin: Pulled Pork Nachos
  • Peter's Place, Dublin: Stuffed Seafood Pizza
  • Cedar Lane Supper Club, McRae-Helena: French Fries

In the Presidential Pathways region:

  • Daphne's Lodge, Cordele: Filet Mignon
