New burger restaurant coming to Highway 96

The restaurant is expected to open late January or early February

BONAIRE, Ga. — A new burger restaurant is coming to Highway 96 in Bonaire at the end of this month.

Owner Jennifer Belcher says BurgerIM will open between late January and early February in the Merganser Commons at Bonaire Plaza.

"We serve customizable burgers that are bigger than the slider, but smaller than the burger," Belcher said about the menu.

The menu offers gluten-free options, vegan options and several add-ons including avocado, jalapenos and more.

"There are no waiters and waitresses, so it's a casual, fast-dining restaurant," she said about the atmosphere.

Belcher added that there will be a family-friendly pub feel as there will be about nine televisions throughout the restaurant for visitors to watch sports, etc. BurgerIM will also have a bar with wine and beer on tap.

The restaurant is currently hiring and Belcher says that anyone who is interested in working at the Bonaire location should visit the BurgerIM website and click on the "careers" tab.

As of now, Belcher says she plans for the restaurant to be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The restaurant will offer 50 percent off for all first-responders who visit the restaurant while they are on-duty. Belcher retired from the Air Force at Robins AFB and is excited to bring BurgerIM to the area.
