The Macon teen charged in a deadly one car accident last July pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and reckless driving Wednesday.
Bibb County District Attorney David Cooke says Grant Hoffman entered the guilty pleas before his scheduled arraignment.
Hoffman was the driver in the accident that happened around midnight July 23, 2014 on Zebulon Road in Bibb County.
The investigation determined Hoffman was driving in excess of forty miles over the speed limit at the time.
His passenger and girlfriend, 17 year old Abigail Hinson, died in the crash.
Cooke says Hoffman will not serve any jail time at the request of Hinson's family.
The district attorney recommended 90 - 180 days in a probation detention center, but the judge honored the family's wishes.
Cooke says Hoffman's sentence includes 7 years probation, treatment at an in-patient psychiatric program, and a 26 week family violence intervention program.
Cooke said he recommended the violence intervention program because "Hoffman has some emotional issues that need to be addressed."
Cooke also says if Hoffman does not complete the in-patient psychiatric program, he will serve jail time.
Another special condition of Hoffman's sentence requires that he have no driving violations during his probation, or he could be revoked to prison.
Hoffman is the son of Mercer basketball coach Bob Hoffman.
