Macon boutique offering federal workers free services amid shutdown

A government shutdown story that come "straight from the heart."

MACON, Ga. — Even with the government  shutdown, one macon business owner is still finding a way to keep things beautiful.

Brione Rozier owns Black Rose Boutique & Glam Shop on Mercer University Drive.

Rozier and her staff decided to offer federal employees in central georgia a makeover.

She's decided to offer eyelashe and eyebrow services to them for free until the shutdown ends.

Rozier says it's her way of beautifying the community and lifting spirits during a difficult time.

"We know it's a furlough, we know you're not getting paid right now, we just want to service you and make you [are] beautiful and make you feel good," she said.

"You know they're going through a lot. This is something serious and I don't think people are taking it as serious as it is. These people aren't getting a paycheck at all. So, we want to make people feel good and you know, beautify our city."

Rozier said you must have a federal ID for services to be provided.
