MACON, Ga. — On Saturday, Daybreak center hosted a Yuletide Community bash, aimed at providing community members in need with supplies.
It was put on by Greater Purpose, a nonprofit organization located in middle Georgia that is "committed to improving the health and wellness of local community members through housing and social services, advocacy, education, and community awareness initiatives."
During the event, supplies were provided to those in need, like clothing items, feminine products, non-perishable food items, gift cards, toys for kids, school supplies, and more.
Health screenings, health education packets, and referrals for supportive services were also offered.
The event lasted from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
