A man and a woman are in jail after after a joint investigation between the Houston County and Wilcox County Sheriff's Offices.
Shane Joe Saip, 38, of Warner Robins and Evelyn Louise Parker, 28, were both taken into custody on Thursday from a home in the 200 block of Arnold Avenue in Warner Robins, according to a Houston County Sheriff's Office news release.
Saip had an outstanding warrant for a Wilcox County burglary that happened around April 3 and Parker was taken in on a probation violation warrant.
After the arrests, investigators searched the home.
During the search, they recovered stolen property linked to burglaries in Houston, Wilcox, Twiggs and Peach counties. The items include illegal narcotics, jewelry, clothes, electronics, musical items, sports collectibles and firearms.
According to the release, investigators have evidence linking Saip to about 12 burglaries, mostly in central Georgia, since January 2018.
He was specifically linked to a rash of home burglaries in Twiggs County WMAZ reported on April 3, according to the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office.
Saip is being held at the Houston County Detention Center without bond. He is held on charges for firearm possession, possession of meth and VGCSA, which is violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act..
He is also being held for Wilcox and Twiggs counties for burglaries in those areas.
Parker also remains in custody at the Houston County Detention Center without bond for violation of probation. She is also being held for pending charges related to theft by receiving stolen property and VGCSA.
