Man arrested after contraband found in footballs at Baldwin State Prison

The Georgia Department of Corrections said that civilians had been arrested at two facilities for contraband.

HARDWICK, Georgia — A civilian was arrested on Saturday for contraband found at Baldwin State Prison.

In a social media post, the Georgia Department of Corrections said that people were arrested at a couple of correctional facilities for contraband.

They said that on November 27 at Baldwin State Prison in Milledgeville, officers arrested Cornell Aldridge.

A search by the Milledgeville Police Department and GDC canine unit found several bundles of contraband.

They carried Aldridge to the Baldwin County jail.

Another contraband discovery happened at Calhoun State prison on November 23.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office arrested Civilian Sherrell Kerbo after a drone was spotted flying over the prison.

When they searched the grounds they found marijuana, tobacco, cell phones, and phone chargers.

Kerbo was taken to the Calhoun County jail.
