MACON, Ga. — A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot multiple times early Saturday morning, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
The release says it happened at a home on South Stratford Oaks Drive just before 4 a.m.
Deputies responded to the address in reference to a domestic dispute that ended with a person being shot.
They found 38-year-old Antonio Bernard Harris with multiple gunshot wounds in the house.
The release says Harris's girlfriend, 29-year-old Kierra Sharday Howard, told deputies she shot Harris.
The release says two children were in the house at the time of the shooting, but Harris was the only person injured. He went to the Medical Center, Navicent Health where he is listed in stable condition.
Howard is being held without bond at the Bibb County Jail and is charged with aggravated assault family violence.
