Warner Robins water crews worked till late Wednesday evening on a broken water-main that knocked out service for some. It happened on the 300 block of Osigian Boulevard
Montie Walters, head of the city's utilities department, says the break left some customers without water on Osigian and Watson boulevards. He could not say how many.
Several restaurants including Wendy's, LongHorn, and Cheddar's could not serve guests early Wednesday evening.
"The manager told us the water was off and I was like oh my gosh, I really wanted a good hardy steak," said Zaklyn Gibson.
Walter said the line apparently split underneath a hydrant, and crews had to dig up the hydrant to find out how bad it was.
"At one point we had both sides of Watson Blvd. cut off," said Walters.
He says they are not sure exactly what caused the break but it looks like the ground shifted under the fire hydrant area.
