4 people taken into custody following search warrant in Warner Robins, release says

The roadways near Sherman and Lincoln Street are now opened after they were closed earlier during the search

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Four people were taken into custody on Thursday near Sherman and Lincoln street following a search warrant, according to the City of Warner Robins press release.

According to the release, the Warner Robins Police Department's Narcotics Investigations Unit and the Criminal Investigations Division conducted the search and brought the four into custody. It added they seized an unknown amount of firearms and drugs.

The City, at one point, asked people to avoid Sherman and Lincoln Street, but have opened up the roadways after the search warrant finished, according to the release.

They said residents and commuters were likely to notice a large police presence.

The specific details of the search have not been revealed, but the City said that additional details won't be provided until the morning of Friday, Aug. 23.
