Warner Robins completing water plant, hoping to improve financial infrastructure

City officials said they hope the water plant will lead to more advancement in the city's industry.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Warner Robins added a new water plant this past week, according to a press release from the city clerk.

The Warner Robins Utility Department, alongside the contractor teams, have completed the starting phase of the plant, which will provide water for the Robins Industrial Site and the area west of Highway 41.

"This new water plant represents a major advancement in our city's infrastructure,” Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said. “It is a testament to our commitment to supporting industrial growth and enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We are excited about the positive impact this facility will have on our community."

The release says it has been 20 years since a project this large was launched in Warner Robins. They say they hope for the Water Plant to impact industrial development, providing infrastructure to support new businesses and areas of financial growth.

They also said the water plant would support the residents of the area.

"As our city continues to grow, it is crucial that our infrastructure keeps pace,” said Utility Department Director Montie Walters. “This new water plant is a vital component in meeting the current and future needs of Warner Robins. It ensures that we can support both residential and industrial development effectively."

The City of Warner Robins will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the project in August.
