Teen drowned in Houston County swimming pool

Houston County Coroner James Williams says this is the second drowning in Houston County this summer.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A teen is dead after drowning in a swimming pool on Sunday, according to Houston County Coroner James Williams.

19-year-old Dezmine Lowery from Virginia was swimming in a pool at the 100 block of Tranquill Pointe.

He was then taken by ambulance to Houston Healthcare where he was later pronounced dead.

Williams says this is the second drowning in Houston County this summer.

The first was on June 9 when 27-year-old Ariel Jones drowned in a swimming pool in the 2400 block of Elko Road in Elko.
