MACON, Ga. — A Warner Robins man is in the Bibb County jail after he allegedly fought an officer trying to stop him from fighting other people.
According to a news release, Bibb deputies were sent to the Hummingbird on Cherry Street around 12:10 a.m. on January 3.
When deputies got to the scene, they were told the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Zachary Marshall, walked into the bar and said he was going to fight some people there.
The news release says Marshall appeared to be ‘very intoxicated’ and was being hostile towards deputies. They attempted to detain him and resisted arrest.
He tried to reach into his pockets and once deputies got him to the patrol car, they found a small bag of cocaine on him.
Marshall was taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with possession of a schedule II substance, disorderly conduct, and obstruction of a peace officer. He is being held on a $12,410 bond.
An incident report from that night says he was served with a criminal trespass notice where he was ordered not to return to the Hummingbird, Thirsty Turtle or Billy's Clubhouse. He refused to sign it.
