Warner Robins celebrates 65 years of annual Christmas Parade

This year's theme was Winter Wonderland.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Crowds gathered in Warner Robins Saturday for the annual Christmas parade that's been going strong for 65 years.

This year's theme was Winter Wonderland, and crowds lined the streets starting at McConnell-Talbert Stadium and ending at Watson Boulevard.

Roman Bauer was there with his grandpa. Bauer's in elementary school, and felt a little nervous about coming to parade for the first time.

"I'm kinda shy around a lot of people," he said.

He braved the nerves to come cheer on a special woman in his life.

"I'm waiting for the floats to come. I wanna see my mommy," Bauer said.

And a little while later, he got to cheer his mom on who was pushed past them in a trailer for Splinters Axe House.

They weren't the only ones admiring that part of the parade.

Jason Frias came to the parade for the first time and said he loved seeing Splinters Axe House there.

"I used to work as an axe- at an axe throwing company so that was pretty cool to see," Frias said.

He moved to Warner Robins from Maryland six months ago and said he's glad he chose to move here because of the community spirit that was on display at the parade.

"All these events kind of bring the town together in this harmonious kind of way and I really like that, especially during Christmas time," Frias said.

13 WMAZ's Kamilah Williams and Katelyn Heck hosted the parade this year, and if you want to watch the livestream, you can find it on our Facebook page.
