HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — A 32-year-old woman was arrested Friday afternoon for allegedly murdering a 2-year-old child in 2020, according to a release from the Houston County District Attorney's Office.
Between Nov. 15 and Nov. 17, 2020, 32-year-old Kianna Davis is accused of murdering Karter Ambrose, her indictment read.
On Friday, Davis was arrested by the Warner Robins Police Department, the U.S. Marshals, the Houston County Sheriff's Office and the District Attorney's Office, the press release said.
Davis was indicted alongside Kiyon Devoy Benton on Oct. 17, according to the indictment. According to Houston County District Attorney William Kendall, the case is still active and Benton has not been arrested yet.
The case was investigated by the Warner Robins Police Department, the Houston County Sheriff's Office and the District Attorney's Office. They say charges were brought after a "thorough investigation."
She was arrested and charged with Malice Murder, Felony Murder and Cruelty to Children in the first degree. She also faces aggravated assault and other charges, according to the indictment.
