Wanted man from Miami arrested in Forsyth

FORSYTH, Ga. — A wanted man out of Miami, Florida was arrested in Forsyth, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

Wayne Sanders was wanted for two counts of homicide and one count of armed robbery by the Miami Florida Police Department. The department believed he had a gun on him.

The sheriff's office received information that Sanders was in Monroe County. Investigators located him in a subdivision in Forsyth. 

Monroe County Sheriff’s SWAT team and K-9 Units arrested him without incident.

Sanders is currently in the Monroe County Jail without bond. He is currently awaiting his extradition back to Florida.
