ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia quarterback and Houston County native, Jake Fromm, says he is entering the NFL draft.
In a statement on Twitter Wednesday, Fromm thanked the university for giving him the opportunity to play football and Coach Kirby Smart who he says helped grow him into a better football player.
The second half of his statement begins saying, “This process and decision has been unbelievably difficult, but through much prayer and counsel, I have decided that it is time for me to take on the next challenge in my life and pursue my lifelong dream of playing in the NFL.”
He concluded with the Bible verse Romans 8:28 -- And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.
Earlier this week, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagvailoa also announced he would forgo his senior season to enter the 2020 NFL draft.
