MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff's Office made arrests of persons of interest in two recent robberies on Wednesday, according to a release.
They say on Oct. 10 two businesses were robbed. Nail Impressions at 5580 Thomaston Road was robbed at 6:49 p.m. and Circle K at 4700 Hartley Bridge Road was robbed later that night at 11:13 p.m.
The next day Angel Nail Spa at 5503 Brookhaven Road was robbed at 10:33 a.m. and then Spa Nails at 163 Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard was robbed at 11:08 a.m.
The suspect in both these robberies was described as a masked man driving a white Honda Accord, the release says.
The car was abandoned shortly afterward at the intersection of Cowan and Bowman Street. The car's owner was identified as 29-year-old Kelsi Meshel Brown of Macon.
On Oct. 11 after 4 p.m. Brown was taken from Investigations Headquarters to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for false statements.
On Oct. 22 just after 3 p.m. investigators and deputies arrested a person of interest, 32-year-old Leon Devon Stapleton of Macon, in the 500 block of Charles Street.
Deputies then arrested both Stapleton and Brown, the release says. They were both taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Brown was charged with armed robbery and Stapleton was charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery and kidnapping as well as additional charges.
Neither Stapleton nor Brown have bond, the release says.
