JEFFERSONVILLE, Ga. — The issue with the city of Jeffersonville’s water tower has been fixed.
But that doesn’t mean students in Twiggs County will be headed back to school on Thursday.
According to Mayor Charles Williams, the electrical problem with the city’s water tower needed to be repaired and those repairs have been completed.
However, the boil water advisory still stands and will be lifted on Thursday at 2 p.m.
Superintendent Elgin Dixon says the school district will re-assess the situation on Thursday afternoon and make a decision about Friday’s classes.
