MACON, Ga. — A fifth concert is coming to the Macon Amphitheatre in 2024, according to a post on Facebook,
R&B superstars Anthony Hamilton, Johnny Gill, and Leela James will perform on Saturday, April 13, at the new venue.
Hamilton came to the Macon Coliseum in Sept. 2022 as part of the Macon Music Festival. The Grammy-award winner spoke with 13WMAZ ahead of that concert. He said he was aware of the rich music history that Macon had to offer.
Gill was a member of New Edition and the super group called LSG alongside Gerald Levert and Keith Sweat. He has also appeared in more than 80 TV and film roles, including Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion and had a cameo role on Family Matters.
James has toured with the Black Eyed Peas and Macy Gray. She has been a mainstay on the Billboard R&B charts for nearly 20 years.
Tickets for the concert will start at $79 each for a seated seat, and the lawn section will start at $45 each.
They will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com or in person at the Macon Coliseum box office on select days.
