Bo Dukes, the man accused of helping hide Tara Grinstead's body in 2005, is now facing new charges.
The Warner Robins Police Department says Dukes is charged with rape, aggravated sodomy, and other charges.
They say Dukes was staying on the 300-block of Charlestown Way.
Neighbors said they had no idea he lived so close to them and many said they feared for their safety after hearing of the charges
The house at 301 Charlestown Way sat empty on Wednesday night.
Down the block, Brandon Green says he saw police cars outside of the home on Tuesday.
“When you’re a dad, you feel like you’re a protector and the hairs on the back of your neck go up,” said Green.
13WMAZ reporter Abby Kousouris tried to ring the doorbell, but no one came to the door.
Police said that on Tuesday afternoon, Dukes brought two women to the house and threatened them with a gun.
One neighbor who lives next door said two women wearing towels came to his door knocking incessantly. He let them in and they asked to use his phone.
He says when they called police, he heard them saying that a woman had come home to the residence, who helped them get free.
The same neighbor showed 13WMAZ the security camera footage of the two women escaping the house next door. He says he noticed them looking over their shoulders.
“If dudes like that are roaming around here, we aren’t taking any chances,” said Green.
Green says he's taking precautions and won't let his kids ride their bikes until after Dukes is caught.
“Based off the charges, he was just recently brought up with the forcible taking of people like kidnapping of people and sodomy -- when you have kids playing outside, it makes you feel like you didn’t do enough research,” said Green.
He hopes for his kids' sake that Dukes will be caught soon.
Police have not gone into detail about what happened, but they say Dukes is wanted for rape, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment, and firearm possession by a convicted felon.
Dukes left the home in a 2013 white Kia Sorento. Warner Robins Police also said he has made suicidal threats, and is known to drink heavily and use cocaine.
