A new restaurant serves up Southern-style food in Warner Robins.
Fried Green Tomatoes is under the same ownership as 478 Country Buffet in Byron, Georgia.
Candice, who manages the restaurant, says the restaurant opened its doors to the community on October 1st.
Apparently, business has been booming ever since. She says although the restaurant is called Fried Green Tomatoes, they do not currently offer them everyday.
"We have to get a new fryer in order to meet the demand," she said.
She says they did not expect the reaction they received from the community after opening so they are working diligently to meet the demand.
The restaurant has been jam packed each day and sometimes runs out of food before close of business.
Fried Green Tomatoes serves all types of Southern food including fried green tomatoes, country fried steak, fried chicken, fried okra, cabbage, peach cobbler and more.
Most days, the restaurant posts its menu for the day on Facebook.
Fried Green Tomatoes is located at 2806 Watson Blvd., Centerville, Georgia 31028 and is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays.
