WASHINGTON COUNTY, Colorado — No one was injured when a small plane pilot made an emergency landing on Interstate 76 in Washington County Saturday afternoon.
The Colorado State Patrol said it happened just before 2:30 p.m. on westbound Interstate 76 near mile marker 101, east of Brush. The pilot landed on the interstate without hitting anything, and no one was injured, CSP said.
Traffic in the westbound lanes was halted while crews towed the plane off the interstate.
The Federal Aviation Administration said two people were onboard the plane, a single-engine Cessna 172. They are investigating what led to the emergency landing.
