Downtown Perry was bustling with shoppers going in and out of smalls mom n' pop shops.

PERRY, Ga. — As shoppers flood big retail stores all over the country today... the city of perry is encouraging you to shop "small"... as part of small business saturday.

On Saturday you could see downtown Perry was bustling with shoppers going in and out of smalls mom n' pop shops.

One of those shoppers could get some extra cash for shopping local.

That's because the city of Perry had bingo based on stores shoppers stopped at.

"I think it's been fun for people to have a different activity to do, I know one of them is like visit a store you've never visited, or you know find this, find that & so I think it's fun for people to have something to do. It's something to do in Perry," said Avoly Wainwright.

Once people checked off 4 of the activities they could trade their completed bingo card in for a tote bag - and a chance to win $250 dollars to spend at downtown stores.
