A soul food restaurant is now open in downtown Fort Valley.
Owner Latasha Green says Silly Lilly's has been open at its Fort Valley location since November 1.
Green says the name and concept of the restaurant both started with her mother. "The name comes from my mom. Her name is Lillie and she gave me all the recipes to do the cooking." she said.
Silly Lilly's serves a wide variety of soul food including dressing, collard greens, turkey wings, fried pork chops, ox tails, chitterlings, baked chicken, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and more.
The restaurant is open Tuesdays through Fridays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 6 pm and is locate in downtown Fort Valley at 118 E. Main Street.
